Calling all Event organisers

A message for Visit Swale and Visit Kent

This is an urgent call to Faversham area tourismbusinesses and event organisers for 2017 event information and attraction
updates or copy changes.

Many of you have already supplied information which has been uploaded by either Visit Kent or the Visit Swale Team on to the tourism support websites managed in partnership to promote our wider areas tourism offer, both locally and regionally. Please check the current listings to ensure you are happy with the way we are supporting your attraction or event.

Visit Kent & Visit Swale current Faversham area event listings are:

Visit Kent and Visit Swale Faversham area attraction listings are:

The new Visit Faversham Area Guides produced by Faversham Town Council and the Faversham Area Tourism Association can be downloaded from Visit Kent at: or from the Visit Swale information and brochure page:

Visit Kent is urging Districts and the Town Council as a matter of urgency to bring content up to date and upload 2017 events as soon as possible to benefit from wider promotion and to inform enquiries regarding things to do and what’s on in our areas.

I appreciate the information Visit Kent require aims to provide full details and must be accompanied by images for upload and this may take a little time, however the benefits of getting your event or attraction activities to thousands of website users could make the difference between success and failure. Where we already have business and venue details in some cases we can update and upload events without a form just an email with event details, times, description and pictures will suffice.

Please help us get the Faversham events and attractions on the Kent map for 2017. If you know the date of your festival or event but not too much detail, please still send it in, we can always update with programme details nearer the time, at least visitors and other potential participants / stall holders can make a date in their diaries and contact you directly for more information. Standard website listings are uploaded as a free service provided by the Council in association with Visit Kent to support tourism and hospitality businesses across the Swale area, including Faversham and surrounding villages.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me, as we can also share your event posters and attraction information on our Visit Swale Twitter and Facebook accounts too.

Please send completed forms and emails requesting changes or updates to: : where all members of the Visit Swale team can pick up the emails for action.

Thank you Martin Goodhew
