Dear Friends Faversham Open Gardens is a rare chance to see in the secret areas behind many Faversham houses - grand and ordinary, but all with a special flavour to their gardens. Open 10am to 5 pm http://www.faversham.org/visit_faversham/open-gardens.aspx Get the Entry Booklet in advance from the Fleur de Lis Museum, Preston Street, Faversham. This year for the first time there will be garden - related Market stalls in Preston Street, Faversham and it all takes place around the town, rather than out lying villages, so you can walk everywhere, and take your time . I am opening my garden this year for the first time together with two neighbours in Upper Brents. We are adjoining terraced houses with a very different take on gardening - come and see the contrast ! We have a colourful organic, low maintenance food garden which has won a gold medal for being Wild life friendly ; cool green garden with unusual hedges and the enormous and rare Echiums as well as dinosaurs and quirky containers filled with plants in Katy Cox's garden. The garden and toilet at 99 Upper Brents are wheel chair accessible. Teas will be served all day, and Plants and crafts will be on sale in aid of Dyspraxia Action, a new charity we are setting up . We would be very grateful for any support on the day or donations of cakes or plants. Please deliver to the rear of 99 Upper Brents by Friday evening. But most important, I look forward to seeing you there in person, and having a sit down and a cup of tea with you in the garden! best wishes Frances. There are over 30+ gardens to enjoy on Sunday 29th June plus a special Garden themed market on Sunday.Lucy Guthrie back Post comment Comments There are currently no comments.
