FaVaVOOM - Festival of Arts

This week the Faversham Festival of Arts begins. A new title, a new committee but the aim remains the same.

Showcasing Faversham Arts during a week in June with a diverse exciting programme offering something for everyone

Yet again Faversham is full of surprises and the encouraging response will ensure it will be a successful week, sponsored by local businesses and supported by us; the likes of you and me. Faversham loves an event and if the recent Hat Festival and
Transport weekend was anything to gauge local involvement and enthusiasm we know the Arts Festival will be lots of fun too.

Here is a tempting taste of what will be on offer over the week starting on Saturday 7 June.

Saturday gets off to a roaring start with;

Dancing in the town - performances from Morris dancers and Cloggers and others, be inspired and get toe tapping.

Morning Classical in the Assembly rooms from 10.45am, organised by Ben Saul - a wonderful way to start the weekend

Illustrator Charlotte Firmin will be undertaking portraits and will exchange pictures with children, look out for her in the Market Place.

Best of Faversham market will also be taking place in Preston Street on Saturday.

Don’t miss out on watching, engaging or listening to one of the free activities on offer and being carried along in the wave of art, music and dance - food for the soul.
