Midsummer Night Feast Those of us that live in Faversham or nearby realise what a little gem it is. A true market town with a bustling active market that has grown in popularity and stalls over the last few years, thanks to the hard work and dedication of local traders. Faversham has lots to offer; beautiful architectural buildings, rich history, surrounded by glorious countryside with excellent rail links and close to the coast too. There is also a true sense of community in Faversham and a real “can do” spirit that other towns envy. It is at this time of year I feel Faversham really comes into its own. No sooner have we enjoyed the local pickings of juicy asparagus, the cherries and strawberries are ready! Juicy, red, warm from the sun and sold by the side of the road, in local farm shops and some supermarkets. You can’t beat the Faversham (and surrounding areas) soft fruits. Best eaten before they hit a fridge, straight from the tree or field – enjoy every delicious moment. This Saturday all the wonderful Faversham elements are coming together at the Midsummer Night Feast from 6pm to 10pm in the Market Place in Faversham. A night food market set in the historical market place, with tables set up under the iconic Guildhall. Local people will come together to feast, drink, laugh and enjoy the sounds of local bands whilst celebrating another great Faversham event. Come and join us for what promises to be a fabulous foodie evening. Lucy Guthrie back Post comment Comments There are currently no comments.
