Jittermugs Cafe & Tapas Restaurant

Home / Business / Cafés / Jittermugs Cafe & Tapas Restaurant

Relax and enjoy this popular coffee shop / wine bar experience in Faversham. Themed around classic Penguin books the café has a warm welcoming retro feel. This cosy venue now serves delicious tapas, continental beers and wine in the evenings, which is well suited to the relaxed candle lit ambience.

During the day this small intimate venue with a roaring log burner in the winter, leather sofas, softly playing jazz and a delicious selection of loose leaf teas, Fairtrade coffee, hot chocolate, and homemade cakes, there is no where better to enjoy a chat with friends, or quietly savour a good cup of coffee or tea.

Run by husband and wife team Nick and Julie, the attention to detail is a delight. Julie bakes the cakes, and a billboard on the street  entices you to enjoy a slice of homemade lemon drizzle cake! The café supports Fairtrade and offers a cafe loyalty card to customers, giving you a free 7th drink. All completed loyalty cards are entered into a monthly draw for a penguin mug of the winner's choice (drawn on the 2nd of each month).

Faversham is fast being recognised as a food and art destination and this is certainly reflected here at Jittermugs, where orginal artwork adorns the walls. The food is sourced locally and homemade where possible, and all this is complemented by our warm welcome.
We also try to ensure that there is a choice of vegan and coeliac friendly treats in store everyday. We have also just started an extended range of ice-cream milkshakes as well as frappes and ice fruit blasts.
