Faversham is Kent's oldest market town and is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
Faversham Market - our traditional street market - runs from 8.30am to 4pm every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday in the medieval Market Place and is a great place to pick up fruit and vegetables, household essentials, clothes, trinkets, fresh bread, plants and flowers, locally made food and more. There are also lots of great local cafes, pubs and shops.
On the first and middle Saturdays of the month we are joined by Best of Faversham Arts, Crafts and Food Market– a showcase for local producers and makers - in Preston Street from 9:30am to 3pm.
On the first Sunday of every month we hold the very popular Faversham Antiques and Vintage Market in Market Place from 8am to 3pm. If you live outside the area why not make a weekend of it.
Our Markets can be very lively. We are regularly joined by musicians and play host to various festivals and events across the year – as well as running a few of our own including the successful Midsummer Nights Feast in June this year.
We will be hosting Kent's largest Christmas Markets on November 29th, December 13th and 20th and a Night Craft, Food and Drink Market to support Faversham Christmas Lights on November 28th. For more info on events click here.
