Hope Fitzgerald Photography tells the story of your party, event, wedding, or civil partnership. Hope aims to capture events as they happen as candidly and unobtrusively as possible. Posed groups are kept to a minimum so that you and your guests can enjoy your celebrations without interruption. Natural informal photography is planned, with Hope waiting attentively for perfect moments to capture the atmosphere of your day or evening event with an artistic eye and a story-led approach.
Social photographic sessions are fun, subject led, and bespoke - every event is unique!
Wedding couple Cameron and Louisa:
“From our first meeting with Hope, we were touched by her friendliness, advice and understanding of our situation. All of the pre-wedding planning with Hope was simple and straightforward. It was also obvious that Hope was very excited for us and the ideas we had for the day to capture key moments at the church and to incorporate an old Routemaster bus, a county cricket pitch, walking through woods in wellies and in the gardens of Lees Court, Sheldwich. Hope was thorough in her preparation and liaised directly with the vicar for access to the church to plan the photos. On the day, Hope was very discreet and aside from the formal family photos, we hardly noticed her hovering around getting the best angles and impromptu photos of our guests. Her post-production has been fantastic with a range of black and white, colour and artistic-expression
shots. I highly recommend Hope for her wedding photography services as she brilliantly captured our special day into lasting memories.”
Photography and Video for organisations offers a powerful tool for evidence, promotion and advocacy. Hope has experience in Arts and Education, and in working with young people. Previous clients include Faversham Town Council, Artswork, Royal Opera House, Turner Contemporary, Kent County Council, and Stour Valley Arts.
Lucy Medhurst as Director, Stour Valley Arts:
"I have worked with Hope for over three years as photographer, film maker and documenter of Stour Valley Arts’ education projects. Hope has produced wonderful films that manage to really capture the value of our education activities using great editing and “talking heads” footage of children and young people. The resulting work has been a powerful advocacy tool and
communicates perfectly the impact of the work we do. Hope is a highly skilled and very intelligent colleague and she is quick to get to the heart of a brief. She delivers on time and on budget. I can wholeheartedly recommend her work."
Alongside work for clients, Hope currently works in Arts Education with the Royal Opera House, providing practical and creative solutions for uses of Photography and Video through workshops in schools.
Personal Photographic Arts projects include the on-going #walkfaversham photographs, a collection of pictures from regular walks around her hometown of Faversham since 2013. Links for other projects and interests are also below.
Hope holds a BSc in Art and Art History, an MA Fine Art, and a PGCE.
