The Elephant public house is in The Mall, the town's graceful tree-lined entrance.
A free house, the pub has been run by James and Kim since March 2006 and has been decorated extensively to create a clean, light and airy pub with vases of fresh flowers.
Visitors/Walkers Please note: due to the fact we currently do not have any kitchen facilities you are very welcome to eat your packed lunch in The Elephant provided you buy liquid refreshments!
James and Kim offer an unusual and exciting range of ales from small micro breweries and some popular and less common draught brews such as Amstrel, Leffe, Harp Irish lager and Stowford Press cider, and a good range of wine and soft drinks.
You will find James or Kim at the Elephant every night to make you welcome and there is live music some weekends.
Walk through the pub and hanging grapevine to the large courtyard garden with seating for up to 40 with tubs of flowers, pear trees and a pond (and a couple of guinea pigs and rabbits!).
There is an outside brick barbecue and outside room with tables and chairs which James and Kim are happy for customers to have use of by prior arrangement - no charge.
A perfect place to meet your friends or have a party!
