This 300-year old pub, close to Faversham Creek, has recently been tastefully refurbished, but still retains all the ancient hallmarks that are loved in an old pub. The Anchor has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and offers the widest variety of Shepherd Neame’s finest ales of any pub in Kent, alongside a diverse yet sophisticated menu using locally sourced ingredients.
This large pub-restaurant boasts traditional pine boards and a brick floor with an enormous inglenook at one end and a huge wood-burner in the opposite room.
With a home-made menu that is constantly changing and adapting to the seasons you can expect traditional meals of the highest standard; with ingredients sourced from local producers including meat from the pub’s own farm. Be sure to check the specials board for the latest offerings and keep an eye out for the home-made bread and ice-cream.
A family-friendly establishment with large beer garden makes this pub ideal for summer afternoons. Keep an eye out for music events and live music every other Sunday; with a busy varied schedule of local bands there is something to suit all musical tastes.
