Macknade Fine Foods

Home / Business / Butchers / Macknade Fine Foods

Macknade Fine Foods is the South-East’s leading food hall, built on a 170 year history of food, farming and retailing in Faversham.

Our aim at Macknade is to offer the best food and drink shopping experience around. This is an experience that brings joy and satisfaction to us, our customers, our suppliers and everyone that works with us in the business.

We base what we do on the Italian adage of ‘qualita/prezzo’ – that is to say that price must always reflect quality… and our aim is to always deliver more.

We also understand that our role as the link between producer and consumer is important and that an essential part of what we do is to help our customers be close to the producers who grow and make the wonderful products on our shelves. In turn, this brings our producers close to our customers as well.

Macknade is a family business and that has always been at our core. Whether we were enjoying Christmas at the family home in Faversham, or spending the summer on Ischia with our Italian Grandmother, a passion for flavours and great food and drink has rippled through everything we do.

This ethos carries across the Macknade Team. Their input, along with that of our suppliers and customers, is invaluable in helping us make sure that Macknade is the best it can be.

How to Find Us

Our store is conveniently situated less than two minutes from the M2 and just off the A2 on Selling Road.

We are based on the outskirts of Faversham, surrounded by beautiful countryside, and have been for over 25 years. Please see our location map by clicking on the link above.

The site has a large car park immediately outside and coach parties are always welcome, although we do ask that this is arranged in advance.

After visiting us, you can also pop into Hermans Plaice and the Hercules Wine Warehouse, which are both adjacent to our fine food hall.

We are located just five minutes taxi ride (or 15 minutes walk) from Faversham Rail Station, which has direct links into London Victoria and London St Pancras.

There is a bus stop just five minutes walk from us, at the corner of Love Lane, with buses going to Canterbury and we also have a bicycle rack at the front of the store for cyclists.
