The Faversham logo features three elements:

• The lion, at the top, is derived from the town's coat of arms, details of which you can find at our Faversham Coat of Arms page.

• The tag-line/slogan/motto 'Market Town of Kings'. 'Market Town' because Faversham's three-day-a-week market is the oldest in Kent, having been held regularly for over 900 years; 'of Kings' because the town has so many royal associations, detailso f which you can find at our Faversham and Kings page.
