If you have answered yes to these questions our caretaker position might just be perfect for you. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to look after our growing school. If you have the ability to use your initiative, work independently but are also a great team player, then we would love you to apply. Patience and a sense of humour are essential.

Duties include: unlocking/locking/security/alarms, keeping outside areas clean & tidy, management of caretaking and cleaning supplies, property maintenance including redecoration, Health & Safety responsibilities such as fire alarm testing. Training can be arranged as necessary and will be part of an induction package.

You will need to be organised and ideally live locally. The hours are 35 per week – 7.00-10.00 a.m. and 2.30-6.30 p.m. Monday to Friday in term time. Daily hours during school holidays are more flexible and will depend on the work needing to be done. Additional hours may be worked, if required, by arrangement with the head teacher.

Working hours may be subject to variation and call-out at weekends. Different working hours may be necessary from time to time, to fit in with events happening at the school beyond the regular working day. holiday entitlement - 25 days plus bank holidays. All holiday must be taken during the school holidays.

Job Summary:
This is an opportunity for someone living in Faversham who is looking for a part time job and who can be available throughout the day and evening. The position would suit a responsible and organised person. LanguageUK is a small English Language school that runs English courses for foreign language students coming to Faversham for a week or two at certain periods throughout the year. The students stay with home stay hosts in Faversham. The welfare and accommodation officer is responsible for the following:• Organising and planning home stay placements for groups of students attending the English course and keeping records of all placements.• Liaising with the home-stay hosts and dealing with home-stay issues• Liaising with the LanguageUK coordinator and group leaders if necessary.• Rehousing students in case of emergency or necessary change.• Meeting and greeting students on arrival and being available for departures (usually at weekends) and liaising with the hosts regarding this.• Dealing with any health and medical emergencies that may occur such as doctor, dentist and hospital.

Start Date:  March/April 2018 Number of weeks per year: Approximately 20 plus

Salary:  £150.00 per week for arrival and departure plus 5.5 hours administration and call out duty. (Approximately 10 hours per week) A further £12.00 per hour for any extra emergency call outs Salary to be paid weekly on receipt of invoice and time sheet


• Knowledge and experience working with under 18s essential (CPD and training given if required)

• IT skills essential (excel/word)

• DSL qualified preferable.
