The
Faversham Umbrella Mental Health Charity was set up 16 years ago to promote, preserve and protect mental health stability.
We act as a lifeline to local people who have suffered varying degrees of mental health trauma, and also serve as a place where people can come to enjoy friendship and activity. Light refreshments are on offer at a small cost, and there is opportunity to play Board Games, Bingo, Darts, and Pool.
The Centre also organises Outings, Quizzes and other activities. All are welcome.

The Faversham Umbrella Mental Health Charity is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 12pm to 3pm.
FAVERSHAM UMBRELLA'S 'ARDEN NEXT-STEP WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG ADULTS'
is supported by The Big Lottery.
The fund provides for 17 – 35 year old recovering Mental Health Clients. In the Arden Workshops, a number of different Art/Craft projects are offered. Having been referred by a Doctor, Community Health Care Trust, Social Worker or Voluntary body, Clients are encouraged to become involved in their own Art/Craft projects.
The Workshops provide a good atmosphere where Clients can socialise, and in some cases, relearn their social skills. The aim is to help and encourage Clients back into mainstream society where Mental Illness may have caused isolation or exclusion.
The Workshop offers up to 12 places per day, over a 4 day week. The catchments area for the Workshop is drawn from a 15 mile radius of Faversham.
Activities offered include:-
- General workshop, which includes Upholstery, Carpentry, Painting and DIY
- Art/Craft workshop, which includes Pottery, Water and Acrylic Painting, Glass Painting and Sewing
