The NSPCC's Vision ...
... is of a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential.
Sadly, many childhoods are far from happy. In the UK each week at least one child will be killed by their parents or carers and 3,000 children will be physically abused.
The NSPCC runs 180 projects and services to help prevent abuse and enable children and young people to overcome the devastating effects. ChildLine receives thousands of calls every day.
Official figures show that as at 31 March 2006 there were 860 children in Kent (including the Medway Towns) on the child protection register because they were considered to be at risk of abuse.
Help us to make a difference for the children in Kent
We would like to welcome new volunteers and groups of friends in the Faversham area to help fundraise for the NSPCC and develop our existing network of supporters.
Whatever time you have to give, you will be helping us end cruelty to children.
"I know in my heart that if it weren't for ChildLine, I wouldn't be here."
