Help With Your Family History Enquiries
The Faversham Society will be pleased to try to help you with your family history enquiries, if they relate to the local area as described in the following paragraphs.
Our information covers the parishes of
Badlesmere, Boughton-under-Blean, The Brents, Buckland-by-Faversham, Davington, Doddington, Dunkirk, Eastling, Faversham, Goodnestone-next-Faversham, Graveney, Hernhill, Leaveland, Luddenham, Lynsted, Newnham, Norton, Oare, Ospringe, Otterden, Preston-next-Faversham, Selling, Sheldwich, Stalisfield, Stone-by-Faversham, Teynham, Throwley and
Wychling.
We do not hold copies of registers or Census returns. What we do have is a very large collection of stray references, from the 16th century onwards.
Registration Fee
To take advantage of this service, send a £10.00 registration fee by post when you register your enquiry (see
Registration below).
If paying by cheque or international money order, your remittance should be made payable to
The Faversham Society in £ Sterling. Overseas currency cannot be accepted.
You may also pay by credit card (not Diners or AmEx). Send your card details by post - NOT email - giving your name (exactly as on the card), card issuer, number, start and expiry dates, and security number. Please note that the fee is non-refundable.

The Faversham Society is a Registered Charity (No. 250945) run by 100% voluntary effort. We have no paid staff, and no revenue funding from the authorities for our museum and archive work. Your money will go towards our work for the care and conservation of the area and its many treasures.
We cannot guarantee to be able to help you with your enquiry, though we will do our best.
In the event that we cannot help you, we will keep your enquiry on our books, so that any relevant information that emerges at a later date will be passed on to you. For this reason and in case you change your e-mail address, make sure you let us have your postal address, phone and fax numbers.

Please register your enquiry below and give as much information as possible on the form provided, making sure that you include your e-mail and postal addresses for reply.
Use the address above if you wish to send us additional information by post which may make it easier for us to help you. Remember to send us your registration fee by post at the same time.
If you tell us what you already know and what you want to find out, we will do our best. You should present what you already know in the form of a family tree, however brief and/or incomplete. Make sure this includes all known dates and places of birth or baptism, marriage, and death or burial.
