North Preston Allotment Association
In early 2007 a group of residents and Millfield Allotment Association (MAA) joined together to overhaul and regenerate the North Preston allotment site in Faversham. In November 2007 the North Preston Allotment Association was formed

After a huge amount of clearing about five tons of metal and rubbish, we now have plots being cultivated again by all generations and capabilities, old hands and total novices. All are welcome to join us.

We have received huge support from Faversham Town Council, Swale Borough Council and Swale Housing Association, which led to a new fence and car park.

In April 2008 we released four hedgehogs to help the fight against slugs. Plot holders signed an agreement to ban the use of slug pellets. We believe that this introduction has led to young being born.

We have a waiting list after having success in filling the plots.

We now have an enviromentaly friendly toilet on site.
