Uplees is a small hamlet in the parish of
Oare, about two miles north west of Faversham.
Uplees is predominenly farmland on a ridge overlooking the north Kent marshes and adjacent to the Swale. An unmetalled track and public footpath leads down to another part of a former explosives factory complex. Sheep now graze safely where once stocks of TNT were made.
