About The Sea Cadets

The Sea Cadet Corps, founded in at the turn of the century, is an organisation for boys and girls, 10-18 years old, providing a range of physical and mental activities with a naval flavour, aimed at developing youngsters with a sense of purpose and character as well as a spirit of adventure.

It is a national voluntary youth organisation and a registered charity with over 400 Units in the UK. Each Unit has its own name and local identity - just like a Royal Navy ship - and each has its own uniformed Sea Cadet officers and instructors.

TS Hazard Faversham Sea Cadets

Faversham Sea Cadet Unit is TS Hazard, named after the ship built in Faversham to go and fight the Spanish Armada. The Unit meets in the 15th century building of the same name in Conduit Street, which was once the town's store.

At TS Hazard we have instructors qualified in Engineering, Seamanship, Communications, Physical Training, First Aid, Cook/Steward, Writer/ Stores, Sailing, Pulling, Powerboating, Adventure Training and Shooting.

The Sea Cadets meet every Tuesday and Friday at TS Hazard in Conduit Street. If you are between 10 and 18 years old, then please come along to see what goes on.
