EXHIBITION: Faversham’s Glory Days
The Fleur de Lis Gallery, Preston Street, Faversham
Free-entry exhibition showing how Faversham people lived in the 18th century, through masses of artefacts found by archaeologists in a Preston Street garden. Be amazed at the pottery imported from faraway lands, and all the wine bottles and glasses! The exhibition by the Faversham Society Archaeological Research Group is of items found in excavations in 2017 at the rear of Furlongs Ale House.
When: Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Sunday, 10am to 1pm

The Faversham Society presents a talk looking at discoveries that have been made about the ways words are used, how language seems to be stored in the brain, and how we can be fluent and yet creative. The speaker is Michael Hoey, who was Baines Professor of English Language at the University of Liverpool.
