A complete performance with choir and orchestra of Handel’s Messiah, conducted by Graham Ross, music director at Clare College, Cambridge, during a weekend of events arranged by Musique Cordiale, an organisation that runs a festival in the south of France in August.
The soloists are Louise Kemény, soprano; Australian Kate Howden, mezzo soprano and winner of the Britten-Pears Young Artist; Julian Gregory, tenor; and Johnny Herford, baritone.
Tickets are £10/£15, including a glass of wine.
There will also be an open rehearsal of Messiah choruses at the Church of St Peter & St Paul, Newnham, on 24 November at 7.30pm (free entry including a glass of wine).
On 26 November, at 12 noon, the Schubert Quintet performs at the Church of the Beheading of St John the Baptist, Doddington (free entry including a glass of wine).
