Hanami Festival
Brogdale Collections, Brogdale Farm, Brogdale Road, Ospringe
Brogdale celebrates Hanami – the Japanese festival of blossom – with a packed festival day amid the largest collection of fruit trees in the world. Enjoy the Japanese exhibition, Japanese performances and cultural demonstrations plus Japanese food tastings and children’s activities before relaxing with a picnic under the blossoming trees. Faversham Open Gardens and Garden Market Day
Visit 30-plus private and community gardens, many within walking distance of each other, in the charming historic town of Faversham. Market Place will have a special garden market, with plant stalls, vintage gardenalia, and local crafts and food. Entry to gardens by ticket-handbook (£6 each or £10 for two). There is a children’s competition and there’s free entry for children under 12.

Faversham Creek (ME13 7DF), Town Wharf and Front Brents Green
Festival featuring many traditional vessels moored in Faversham Creek, including Thames sailing barges, Dutch barges, tugs, smacks and gaffers. Vessels will be dressed overall, making a colourful display, and some owners may invite you on board.  On Town Wharf, home of the Sea Cadets’ medieval building, TS Hazard, there will be stalls, exhibitions, music and a beer tent.

Faversham town centre
Carnival parade, starting at 6.30pm. Floats line up from 4pm at Jubilee Way, off Whitstable Road, Faversham, with judging starting at 5pm, and the parade moves into position in Whitstable Road at 6pm, ready for a 6.30pm start.
