/ Zig Zag brick shelter Water Lane
Colin Parry 04 Feb 2016
As a young boy visiting Ospringe with my Nan I always wondered about this structure.
It was about 7 feet high and 12 feet long with a flat concrete roof, it was about 4 feet wide and hollow and you could walk through it from one end to the other in a zig-zag passageway.
Obviously some sort of shelter. I think it was near the school on the same side of the road in Water Lane.
Does anyone know what it was and are there any photographs?
My Nan used to go hop picking down there on Plumford Farm for Farmer Elworthy after 1945
