SANDY/BUTCHER family tree

My great grandfather Robert Sandy was born in Hernhill, near Faversham, in 1869 to Thomas Sandy and Emma Butcher.

I am trying to trace the descendants of Thomas Sandy and Emma whom he married in 1860. Apart from Robert, their other children were Absalom Sandy, born 1864, who married Caroline Godder in 1887 in Faversham.

To continue my message (mouse trouble)

Hope 1865, Edward Thomas 1868, Robert 1869 and Elizabeth Susan 1873.

I have details of some of their offspring  Let me know if this is of any use.

I presume you know of the "Hernhill murder" episode involving Emma Butcher's mother and sister..

Best regards Tony

I know it's been a few years since you posted this message but I've only just seen it. I'm the g.granddaughter of Absalom Sandy and Caroline (formerly Godden) his wife. Their daughter Alice was my grandmother

You may like to know that a Joshua Sandy worked at the Gunpowder Works Davington Factory in 1882 where he was listed as a member of the Davington Factory Friendly Society.
