Coastline in c500AD
Map showing that in c500AD tidal waters came much closer to Faversham and that in fact Nagden spit and other headlands created a large natural harbour close to Faversham - fit only for shallow-draught vessels, admittedly, but most vessels of the time were shallow-draught.
