Faversham remembers WW1

Home / History / Faversham remembers WW1

The first World War impacted on many lives. This week ( March 20th, 2014) KM News has produced a Kent and the Great War supplement to commemorate the Centenary of the start of WW1.

Below are pdf files containing newspaper cuttings, postcards and images from the World War 1, with special thanks to Clive Foreman who kindly collated this information for us.

We hope with help and input from our local historians to add to this page over the next few months. In the meantime it may prompt you to enjoy a walk around Oare Gunpowder works or visit Chart Mills or  Fleur de Lis museum.
