The 17th Annual Faversham Bike Ride will be held on Sunday, 2 May, 2010, starting at 11am at the Recreation Ground.
The ride, raising funds for local charities, is open to all, young and old, and follows a 10-mile circular route through the countryside around Faversham, starting and finishing at the Recreation Ground.
Youngsters can ride accompanied by their parents, but there is also a circuit especially for younger cyclists around the Recreation Ground.
For spectators, apart from the thrill of the ride, there will be stalls, entertainment and refreshments.
To take part in the ride, obtain one of the sponsorship forms available in the town, including the Alexander Centre, during the run-up to the event.
All riders must register before the event and on completion of the ride.
Prizes and awards will be presented for the following:
• Best turned-out bike and rider
• Most unusual bike and rider
• Most amusing bike and rider
• Most imaginative team
• Oldest rider
