Leisure walking in and around Faversham had a boost in 2007 and 2008 through a £100,000 plus Faversham Enterprise Partnership led project aimed at developing and marketing circular walking routes in the Faversham area.
The project’s overall aim was '"to harness the power of the Faversham area’s natural resources for economic gain and rural diversification, enhanced health and leisure benefits, and the enrichment of education programmes in local schools."
Four new circular walking routes in the Faversham area were researched from an access, walking interest, marketing, and importantly, a local economic development perspective.
