A church - a body of people meeting regularly together with a common aim of sharing and experiencing God's love in an ever needful community. The Mission, as it is affectionately known, has been a centre of Christian witness in Faversham for well over 100 years and its people seek to tell us the good news and saving power of Jesus Christ who has the answers to so many of our current world problems.
A normal morning worship session starts at 10.30am with all age worship and uplifting praise. Children have their own groups and classes. Prayer, sharing and teaching follows in the main hall.
Informal fellowship and refreshments follow, and there is time to chat to one another afterwards.
Evening Worship and Communion
The Church holds an evening service at 6.30pm on the 1st Sunday in the month. We share Communion together on the 1st Sunday evening and 3rd Sunday morning of every month.
Home groups are currently run on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in one another's homes. Various passages of scripture are discussed and everyday issues are dealt with in a friendly and welcoming style.
These evenings commence at 8pm and include prayer, bible study and a real time of Christian fellowship. Normally numbers range from 8 to 10 at each group.
At the Mission we believe in the power of prayer. The early followers of Jesus asked him "teach us to pray". Like an earthly father who wants to give good gifts to his children, our heavenly Father wants to guide and direct us in his right paths. He encourages us to come to him with our praise, our thanks, when we've mucked up, or when we're down and troubled.
The church is open for prayer early on Sunday mornings and the leaders will be pleased to pray with you over any issues. We have a monthly prayer meeting on the first Wednesday evening of every month at 8pm.
Please email us your enquiry or drop in on any Sunday. We'd be so glad to get to know you.Faversham Gospel Mission Church
