Welcome to the page of the Faversham Rugby Union Club.
Founded in 1992 the club remains one of the youngest in the RFU.
In 1994 the club moved from its first home, at the Swan & Harlequin pub, to its current location on Faversham Recreation Ground. The club was formed from an annual charity match against Sittingbourne.
The Faversham squad, playing for other clubs in the area, came together each year on Boxing Day under the name of the Castaways - a name which gave the club its desert island logo.
Combining competitive rugby with a strong social side Faversham RUFC is the perfect place for anyone who enjoys rugby. The 1st XV play in Kent Division 2 which provides a full schedule of league and cup matches across Kent. Alongside this, the 2nd XV play in a range of friendly matches throughout the season and the Ladies team are looking to play their first games.
New players are always welcome - come and watch or join us for training Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm on the artificial pitch at The Abbey School for both Ladies and Men's teams.
