This is the third year of the Faversham Creek Clean - an event which helps local biodiversity to thrive not just survive - and prevents plastics from reaching the Swale. Organised by Swale Friends of the Earth, we"ll be litter-picking along the Saxon Shore pathway, including the loop around Thorn Creek and the sewage works, and associated footpaths. We"ll be separating and bagging clean recyclables as we go. There will be maps to guide you as well as information about the wildlife found in this very special area. The ground will be uneven and muddy so please wear sturdy boots/shoes and warm clothes. Bring work gloves. We start and finish at the Oyster Bay House, Chambers Wharf. There is some parking at Standard Quay but please arrive on foot/bike if you can. We"ll be using tools and bags kindly supplied by Swale BC and the event will be part of the Great British Spring Clean.
